Friday Night Sew-In

Last night was the Friday Night Sew-In.  I spent 2 hours on the white elephant that has been taking up space in my sewing room for the past 3 months.  My daughter, 7 years old, went with me to the fabric store.  With her own money she bought a pattern and fabric to make her baby doll an outfit.  I knew when she bought it I would be the one to put it together.  Finally, after months of putting it off I started it.  I finished the shirt.  I still have to make the jumper.  Don;t laugh.  It took 2 hours of periodic frustration to get the shirt made.  I hate to make clothes.  Doll clothes are even worse.  But, in the end she was thrilled, that almost makes it worth while!
