I added the alphabet beads to the crazy lady quilt. I need a better title than that!
I finished another UFO for AAQI. I made the top a few years ago. I love the quilts by Caryl Bryer Fallert. If you don't know who she is check her out here.
Now my little quilt looks nothing like a Fallert quilt, but hers were the inspiration for it. I wanted to make something that had movement and was pieced. So I made a paper pieced pattern and this was the result:
The center of mine is a little "bunched". It's not as smooth as I had wanted, but it looks OK. I still hate curves, inset pieces, and flying geese! It was a learning experiences.

Help...
I couldn't resist sewing yesterday. So I dug in my stash of AAQI tops I made last year and found one I could quilt by hand while I sat with my sick wee one.
It turned out pretty cool.
I think I need to add something in the lower left hand corner. Sweetie Pie disagrees. I like the letter beads spelling out:
"I'm Late I'm Late". It doesn't show up much....
What do you think?

A New Year...
It's a new year.....2012.
I'm still here I promise. I have not had time to sew. I have a non sewing project that has kept me very busy and will until Spring. But it's a good thing.
I will still be making small quilts for AAQI. I'm not giving that up. I took the $1000 pledge last year, and I'm about half way there.
Today would be a great day to sew, it's freezing outside. Unfortunately, I'm home with a sick wee one ;( we've had a stomach bug visit us for New Years. I can't even blame school for this one!
Happy New Year all and Happy Quilting!
